about

'You’d be better off in bed’ Ross’ lawyer told him, and immediately he knew it to be true – he had to reassess his hitherto successful days as a black market art-book dealer, and find a new direction. Halfway up a volcano in Trawas, East Java, he knew that he had to return to Melbourne.

And so it was in the fateful summer of 2007 that he crossed paths with Lochie, who was busy working on a collection of tracks for each astronaut and cosmonaut to have walked on the moon. He was up to Alan Bean when the two met.

Briefly playing in a Prince cover band together (‘FINGERPRINCE’), they immediately felt a synergy beyond playing His Purpleness' arrangements. Shortly after, WiLSON was born on a midda-summer’s nighty.

Since then they've been sporadically blending irregular measurements of psychedelic pop, surrealist funk, and dubby dance fun with original, neologic vocal stylings.

WiLSON is Lochie Bradfield ('LB Pounds', ‘Prophets‘, ‘Susie Scurry & The Grand Magoozi, Kid's Rocking Reggae!’) & Ross Kingston (‘Slum Boys’)
